Menopause, Ageing & Midlife Issues
Many of us dread the menopause and many of us fear ageing too. It can affect both men and women, as well as our partners, family and friends who live with us during menopausal symptoms. Apart from physical changes, this time of life can bring emotional and health changes too. External factors during this stage of life can also bring their own challenges, adding to the pressure and stress of midlife. These factors may include family bereavements, losing parents or ailing parents. Our children may have left home, with all the changes an empty nest can bring or perhaps we are grieving for the lost opportunity of having children, when now we cannot.
Perhaps you've begun to wonder whether your life has gone in the direction you'd hoped or perhaps you didn't have a direction and now wonder what would have happened if you had? Our careers are in the winter of their life-span and perhaps you're grieving that loss too. |
Perhaps it's your relationship that you're now questioning. The menopause can strike fear into our hearts - it's the beginning of a new phase in life and marks the closure of youth. Angela has experience of working with clients who struggle with midlife issues. You'll find a warm, empathetic environment awaits you in Angela's counselling sessions.
